Q: How will each day go? 

A:  The group will meet at 10 am for breakfast at a designated location. There will be intros, lecture, but most of the time will be spent shooting in various epic locations on the island of Capri. John will show the students how he created incredible light for his various global fashion campaigns. He will work with each student as they shoot. 

In addition, the students we will be creating a 25 plus page fashion editorial for Giojournal.com

Q: Will my work be published in Gio Journal? 

A:  Each student will get a minimum two published pages in the mag with their name on page credit. 

Q: Are meals included? 

A: Meals are included both days,

breakfast, lunch and a fun Italian   group dinner Saturday night.

Q: Is Accommodation included? 

A: No, it is not included. 

We suggest securing an air b & b.

Once students secure the workshop they will be allowed on 

the workshop special Instagram portal @jrw_infoportal to meet other students and gather further info. 

Q: How large is the group? How many students? 

A: The group usually comes in around about 15 students. John prefers small groups on destination workshops. 

Q: What can I expect?

A: In terms of expectation... expect to have the best time of your life, learning from one of the most successful photographers in the world. Students will learn lighting, composition, shooting on location, finding epic locations, following a specific fashion mood board from an art director to create an amazing finished product. In addition, the best food, interesting people from all over the globe and magical Capri. Capri is the ultimate. Nothing like it.

Q: What experience level do I need to be? 

A:  The ability to use a camera and a desire to improve your photographic skills. 

Q: What equipment do I need to bring?

A: A camera with a lens, a tripod if you prefer shooting on tripod, and ideally a laptop computer to upload your photos. John’s team will have a computer to upload photos and share with students. So a laptop is not required, but suggested. 

Q: Do we have to wear masks?

A: No, everything will be outside. 

Q: How many models will there be?

A: 4 different models,  but could increase depending on class size.

Q: How do I travel to Capri? 

A: Ferry boat or flight. It’s always best to google the best way to arrive on Capri or travel to Capri. 

Q: What do I wear?

A: It’s quite warm in summer so light comfortable clothing and very comfortable shoes. 

Q: Are their vegan food options?

A: Yes, just let us know and we will accommodate dietary restrictions. 

Q: Can I stay longer on the island? 

A: Yes it’s fabulous, go explore! 

Q: Is their a gift bag for students?

A: Of course and it will be quite fabulous! 

Q: Will I get one on one time with John during the workshop? 

A: Yes, John will work with each student in creating epic images. His two assistants will also be there assisting students. 

Q: Will there be Hair, Makeup & a Clothing stylist for the models?

A: Yes only the best. Remember we are creating a fashion editorial for one of the world’s top magazines. It will be at the level it should be! 

Q: What if I’m on the fence about going? 

A: Hmmm stay home and continue dreaming about doing something incredible or make the commitment to travel to the world’s most fabled Italian island, learn from one the best photographers in the world, eat incredible Italian food, create stunning photography with gorgeous Italian models along with the highest production value, have your work published in a huge magazine, meet the coolest people and most importantly enjoy your life.  Tough choice...
